BHP celebrates iron ore shipment of 3 billion tons

Australian mining company BHP officially celebrated its shipment of three billion tons of high-quality iron ore exported to China and invited major customer representatives to see the loading of a 210,000-ton Capesize bulk carrier in Perth.
Since the first shipment in 1973, BHP spent nearly 30 years delivering its first 100 million tons of iron ore to China.
By 2014, BHP had shipped 1 billion tons of iron ore to China with its significant investment and development in the Western Australian iron ore business, and the shipments have now reached 3 billion tons just nine years later.
