EPC contract for 2 solar power projects Phuoc Thai 2, 3

Power Project Management Board No.2 in collaboration with the consortium of contractors Risen Energy Co., Ltd (Hong Kong, China) and Tasco Joint Stock Company (Vietnam) organized an EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) contract signing ceremony for Phuoc Thai 2 and Phuoc Thai 3 Solar Power Plant Projects.

Two projects of Phuoc Thai 2 and Phuoc Thai 3 solar power plants are invested by Vietnam Electricity; Power Project Management Board No.2 manages the project implementation. Both projects are built in Phuoc Thai commune, Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan province.

In which, the solar power plants use monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic panels, direct grid connection, no storage, string inverters, the installed capacity of Phuoc Thai 2 solar power project is 100MWp and of Phuoc Thai 3 is 50MWp. Both power plants are connected to the national power system via Vinh Tan – Thap Cham 220kV transmission line.

The contractor selection results have been approved by Vietnam Electricity at Decision No. 1447/QD-EVN dated 29 October 2021; Decision No. 1677/QD-EVN dated 3 December 2021 and the winning bidder is the consortium of Risen Energy Co., Ltd., and Tasco Joint Stock Company.

According to the plan, the two projects will be completed and put into operation in the third quarter of 2022. Upon completion, they will add an annual electricity output of over 247 million kWh to the national power system, contributing to the local socio-economic development and the national industrialization and modernization process.
