The International Molybdenum Association (IMOA) has launched a new Chinese language website. A sister site to the main IMOA website, the independently hosted site provides a wealth of information about molybdenum, its uses, sustainability credentials, and metallurgy. The site also collates all of IMOA’s publications that are available in Chinese.
The website complements IMOA’s popular WeChat channel, which currently has 3,300 followers.
One of IMOA’s goals is to extend the dissemination of IMOA’s information within the Chinese market through continued engagement with producers, specifiers, fabricators, and end-users. A dedicated Chinese website, with Mandarin-specific downloads, is a significant step towards this goal.
Secretary-General, Eva Model, commented: “China is a major stainless steel and alloyed steel producer, making it an important market for our activities. Our new website is just one element of the extensive market development activities that we currently undertake in China. The site offers the opportunity, alongside our program of webinars, to provide information about the benefits of molybdenum alloying in steels and stainless steels to the Chinese market.”
